A Lie

You built our

World upon a lie,

A thing I thought was truth —

A thing you thought was truth too

Because you told it so much.

We watched this thing grow,

Take shape and form into

A mass that has no name.

No categorization.

No documentation.

You pushed a lie into

A heart that could not

Take another blow.

And now, we are not

Because of a lie that was.
