I am going to tell you what my Godmother told me when I was 24.
“Your twenties are preparing you for your thirties. Your thirties will prepare you for your forties. Your forties will prepare you for your fifties. And by your fifties, maybe you’ll be wise.”
It sticks with me. I keep it close. I’m 36 and any time I’m having a rough go of it, I think about the above and say to myself, “these are just growing pains.”
