I have… a beautiful friend whom I have been loving for darn near 17 years who does this w/o hesitation. I don’t even flinch when someone says something and he catches wind of it. Damsel in distress? No, I let him be black and great and allow him to love my blackness and greatness and defend it at every turn if and when needed. God bless them.
