Jonas, something I’ve taken away from my father, the Episcopalian Minister, I believe we’ve discussed him before… when praying is this:

“Speak to God like you’re speaking to an old, good friend. He wants the realness of you. That’s what praying is.”

I am good with this. When I pray, I speak to God like I am speaking to a friend I have loved and cherished for years. I let go. I share secrets. I get mad. It’s freeing. Before, I felt robotic going to God with my prayers and trying to pray how I was “advised to.” I love how you’ve begun this piece, got me thinking right off the bat.
