Miles A Million (Haiku in 8 parts)

We forget the unforgettable…

He blew into souls,
The pitter and patter of
A horn’s simple tune.

His artistic world
Encapsulated by the
Glory of love’s stance.

A tiny man, but
BIG in presence. He did not
Scare too easily.

He made beating his
Loves a life’s chore. So quick to
Snap. Break. Lose control.

The world ignored his
Temper, mesmerized by the
Sweet sounds of genius.

With bitches and brews,
All kinds of blues, and greens, Miles
Wrapped them up for play.

One could not deny
His gift. It crept in shadows —
Begging to be heard.

So, they listened and
Forgot the blacks and blues of
Pretty. Brown. Sad. Eyes.

While sweet melodies
Sheltered the raging storms, he
Played with loyal hearts.

I’m more than breath & bones, I’m nectar in waiting — Owner ACG •Editor PSILY •Writing for the cosmos. •
