My co-worker, who happens to be White, shared with me that her youngest son (age 10) had to write a report on the most influential African American to him. She was trying to get him to write about Michael Jackson as he loves the late artist with a passion an ten-year old of this era may not, but he chose Jackie Robinson instead. He read articles, they watched the movie, he skimmed passages that catered to Jackie and she said she has never seen him so interested in anything else. He even wants to try out for little league baseball. To tell you the truth, that day at work, I smiled uncontrollably because of this.

This is beautifully written, needed to be said, and I applaud you for doing so. Peace.
