took a moment to stop and see peace
delivered before my brown eyes
while walking in the Spring sun —
breathing is better now.
the world lost its grip
butterflies land
on still paths
freedom
lives.winter’s bitter air may frost warm hearts
but there’s a beauty in Spring’s birth
that allows love to replace
verglas souls with fields of
bright, hopeful lilies.
stop; ponder this
miracle —
new life
blooms.
