Potlucks are sometimes the best way to spread love and show off one’s cooking skills. I have my settings set to not receive emails from Medium, so every time there is a snafu (and there is always one here), I do not get that brunt of it because I do not get emails from Medium.

What I see now is more people unsatisfied with Medium’s decline and a wave of wants vs. needs. What that says to me is maybe some people should jump ship and they do not want to. If this is the case, let us make it better the way we know how. There is a core of us here who simply wrote through all of the hullabaloo in the past, no matter what the hullabaloo was. That is what we did.

I do not depend on the staff at Medium, I am here because of the souls, talent, love, and guidance I have gotten during my time here. We keep them paid. And, I would much rather not see another 50 people lose their jobs. What I feel is that we can design Medium to be what we need it to be. But, I do feel that Medium should honor their promises, if there were clear and direct promises made with membership. And since I strongly feel that they will not, my thought process is to write through it until I cannot. Until they have run this place so far into its grave that tossing dirt atop the coffin and lowering it will be the end all.

That is really all that I am saying.
