Sherry, thank you for taking the time to read them. I truly appreciate it. I am sending love and hugs your way. Yesterday, in the mall, my best friend and I assisted an elderly man who had dropped his pills out of his daily dispenser.
English is not his first language. People did not see him or they did not want to see him, I cannot not see things of this nature. I asked if he needed help. He did not quite understand me, so I bent down to gesture what it was I was going to do, he said, “Yes. Yes.” Clearly, he was excited to have two willing beings help him make sense of things again. Pills were everywhere. When we were done, he thanked us as best as he could.
He did not see our race, creed, color. We did not let his lack of understanding the language deter us from helping. A job was at hand, it needed to get done. That was all that mattered.
If we all were mindful enough to just do the work that needs to be done, however small, with love and understanding, a lot of this mess that happens constantly would be an awful dream.
Peace Sherry. All the love and hugs to you.
