You threw a few puzzles at me —

Lost their luster.

Than a past love?

A caramelized day,
The day you waltzed into my life,
Demands and checklists in hand,
The promise of a promised land,
But your golden brown sweetness

Soon fluttered astray.
You’re scared to fall,
Even more scared to fly,

But I

To blissfully soar with me?
Wouldn’t it be heavenly
To love like you breathe, effortlessly?

You give the question some thought,
Then move in closely to me,
Whispering how good it would be
To continue our walk…

On a tightrope —

Author’s Note: Over the next month, I will be selecting some of Medium’s youngest and finest writers to collaborate with each week. They need to be heard. They support us. We must support them, Noha Medhat was eighth, Kare please get ready.
