“I can’t hardly wait to be through with you.” ©N’Dambi
I am hanging —
There is no peace in this place.
I have found silence, but no peace. That is nonsensical.
It Makes No Sense.
But, you are not moved by my current stagnancy. You are alive with vigor and want. Wanting me to leave, but stay.
STAY, BUT LEAVE
LEAVE, BUT NOT MOVE SO QUICKLY.
I am a fast walker. I have no business slowing down. There are many places that require my presence, so I must get to where I am going in TIME.
And, since TIME is always pressing at me, I find it best to keep it
You are curious in seeing my downfall,
You pray against me. Evil in your laugh, pain in your eyes, heartache all over your
And, I am eager to linger in your presence for moments incapable of being captured on film. There’s no flash bright enough for our darkness.
We Will Crumble
And, with the crumbling, comes a present full of side-steps, avoiding each other, ignoring phone calls, and denying truths.
In seconds —
Yet, I fall back into a place of sweet regret. It is your eyes. I am home in them. Swaying peacefully, conjuring up ecstasy that always gets the best of me.
But, not today.
Today, I am yearning to lose you.
And, not a moment later.
